Care:

All our shawls are washed using gentle products suitable for sensitive skin, so are ready for use straight away. Due to the nature of our traditionally hand-finished products, knitted in fine quality yarns, please wash by hand in water not above 30°C in temperature and dry flat, away from direct sunlight. Scalloped edges will naturally relax after washing. This is normal and does not deter from the quality of the product. For a perfect finish simply pin out the scalloped edges, cover with a cloth and press with a cool iron.

Traditional Artisan Techniques:

We continue to make shawls in the same way as we always have done since 1912, using traditional artisan techniques. Each shawl takes 2 days to knit and hand-finish in our Shawl Factory in Nottingham, England. We hand finish each one individually and check them to make sure you receive a product of quality that we would be proud to wrap our own babies in.
