How To Style Your Nursery, Even When You Have Limited Space
Getting your baby's nursery ready is no small feat. While living spaces are usually quite limited and tight in Hong Kong, it doesn't mean you can't have the nursery of your dreams.
Some of you are probably thinking, "but my room is too small to transform into a practical nursery!" Mais non, we beg to differ.
Milly's nursery makeover is a great example of how you could transform a small space into a little haven for your baby. The room used to be Milly's dressing room, but she cleared everything out, so there would be a dedicated space for Baby Ido.

1. Elevate The Nursery With Wallpaper
One of the best ways to transform your room into a stylish nursery is turning one of the walls into a feature wall with wallpaper. Make sure you go for a wallpaper that's safe and non-toxic for your baby.

2. Invest In Furnitures That Can Grow With Your Baby
Before you know it, your baby has grown bigger again (mon dieu, where did the time go?). It's essential to invest in pieces that are versatile and can grow with your child. Check if your preferred crib has the option to convert to a toddler bed as your petit grows, so you won't have to keep changing the bed every year. For dresser, choose one that you can add a removable changing table so once your baby goes diaper-free, you can put other things on top after.
While some might not be too sure when they see the price tag of a convertible crib, it's worth every penny to invest in a bed that would keep your petit's company from infancy to up to age 9. Being able to repurpose your baby's crib into a toddler bed also means less waste and it's better for our planet.

3. Create A Cozy Nook By The Window
If your room is rather petit to style, don't overlook your window sill. It tends to be a spot that either remains bare or gets cluttered. Instead of wasting the space, create a cozy nook with cushions or a beanbag. You can also dress it up with pieces like garlands and fairy lights to add a whimsical touch and soft, magical lighting at night.
4. Keep Your Family Treasures
Having storage accents on the walls is a great way to save space and showcase a curation of accessories and toys for your petit. You can hang an organiser on the wall and also add a shelf on the side to dress things up.

5. Don't Forget To Cushion Up The Floor

6. Canopy Your Crib

If you don't have space for a nursing chair in the room, go for a beanbag so you can still relax with a cup of tea while keeping an eye on your petit.
